TOWARDS A BALANCED SOCIETY III
The collection, completed in late 2021, offers a comprehensive overview of the development of gender equality in Estonia over the past ten years.
Following the tradition established by previous collections of the same name, the 22 authors reflect on the burning issues of gender equality in the primary areas of society, including the position of men and women in employment, the changed family life, the role of men and women in politics, education and gender, the development of civil society, health and ageing, violence against women and the role of the media.
In addition, the new collection includes several important and topical issues: sexual harassment, the intersection of environmental issues and gender inequality, the gender aspect of migration and women’s participation in startups.
The new collection is a continuation of the collections published under the same title: in 2000 on the initiative of the UN Development Programme and in 2010 by the Ministry of Social Affairs.
